Is early palliative care associated with a reduction in intensity and costs of care at the end of life in patients with advanced cancer? A randomised trial

The cost of healthcare at the end of life is a frequent topic in politics and society. Concerning recent studies from the US, self-responsibility and specific planning at the end of life from patients with various cancer diagnosis, cannot only improve their quality of life, but can also lead to overall cost reduction. With SENS Economics we want to use the foundations including the patient groups from the SENS-Trial and conduct an additional economic evaluation through health insurance data.
